# Where to find your Resend API key and webhook signing secret

> Create a Resend API key with the right permission, and find the webhook signing secret when you add the webhook yourself.

A Resend sending account asks for an **API key**, and in some cases a **Webhook signing secret**. Keys you save are stored encrypted and never shown again.

## API key

**1. Open API Keys**

Log in to [Resend](https://resend.com) and open **API Keys**.

**2. Create the key**

Click **Create API Key** and name it. Pick the permission:

* **Full access** lets ElasticFunnels add the delivery webhook itself.
* **Sending access** is enough to send, but you add the webhook by hand (next section).

**3. Paste it in ElasticFunnels**

Copy the key (it starts with `re_`; Resend shows it only once) and paste it into **API key**.

Resend's own guide: [Create an API key](https://resend.com/docs/create-an-api-key).

## Webhook signing secret

Only needed with a sending-access key. Add a webhook in Resend under **Webhooks** with the URL ElasticFunnels
shows, then open it: the signing secret is on the webhook's details page and starts with `whsec_`. Paste
it into **Webhook signing secret**. Details in [Resend with a sending-only key](/emails/delivery-events#resend-with-a-sending-only-key).

Resend's own guide: [Verify webhook requests](https://resend.com/docs/webhooks/verify-webhooks-requests).
