# Team setup recipes

> Step-by-step ElasticFunnels team setups for a finance person, an agency client who sees one brand, a page contractor who sees no revenue, offboarding, and adding a second owner.

Each recipe uses the screens described in [Organization users](https://docs.elasticfunnels.io/settings/organization-users.md), [Organization roles](https://docs.elasticfunnels.io/settings/organization-roles.md) and [Organization brands](https://docs.elasticfunnels.io/settings/organization-brands.md). Only owners can create or edit roles, so start there if you are not one.

## A finance person

Dana handles billing and wants revenue reports for every brand, without touching pages.

1. In **Settings > Roles**, create a role named "Finance" and set it up as in the [Finance example](https://docs.elasticfunnels.io/settings/organization-roles.md#finance-billing-and-revenue-numbers-no-page-editing).
2. In **Settings > Users**, click **Invite User**, enter Dana's email, pick **Finance** and tick every brand.
3. When Dana has accepted, ask her to check that **Billing** shows in her settings menu.

Admin is the wrong choice here: it can edit pages and does not include Billing.

## An agency client who sees one brand

Your agency runs several brands, and the client behind Acme Health should see that brand's numbers and nothing else.

Invite them with **Analyst** and tick only **Acme Health** under **Assign to Brands**. Analyst can look at pages, funnels, tracking and conversions without changing anything, and sees traffic, revenue, sales and AOV on the dashboard.

To show more or fewer numbers, open their user page after they accept and set the **Metrics** tab. If they should not see revenue at all, untick the revenue metrics there.

Their email is on another domain, so check the [domain settings](https://docs.elasticfunnels.io/settings/organization-settings.md#domain-and-access) if they will create brands of their own.

## A contractor who edits pages but sees no revenue

Create a custom role, for example "Page editor", and tick only:

| Row | Boxes |
| - | - |
| Pages | View, Create, Update |
| Funnels | View |
| Page Components | View, Create, Update |
| Files | View, Create |
| Collections | View |

Leave **Manage Metrics** empty, so the dashboard shows them no numbers. Do not tick Conversions, Customers or any Reporting row.

Invite the contractor with this role and only the brands they work on. When the project ends, follow the next recipe.

## Offboarding someone

**1. Pause first if you are unsure**

In **Settings > Users**, click their status and pick **Disabled**. They keep their role and brands but cannot open the organization or its brands, and they stop using a seat.

**2. Remove them for good**

Open their user page, go to **Account** and click **Remove from organization**. Their access to every brand ends and their open sessions are signed out.

**3. Tidy up what they owned**

Check the brands they worked on for anything only they knew, such as merchant or integration logins they set up. Removing a user does not change those.

Owners cannot be removed this way. To remove a second owner, another owner first changes their role in the **Users** list to a non-owner role.

## Adding a second owner

An owner can make another member an owner: in **Settings > Users**, click the member's role and pick **Owner**. Invitations cannot make someone an owner, so invite them with another role first.

An organization can have several owners. The person who created the organization is its primary owner: their role and status cannot be changed, and there is no setting that moves the primary ownership to someone else.
