This page covers how the blocks on a quiz screen behave for the visitor: loader timing, height and weight answers, answer variables, validation, and what visitors do not see. To build and publish a quiz, see Build and publish a quiz.

Loader timing

The Loading block takes its timing in seconds: A value of 1000 or more is read as milliseconds and converted (3000 runs for 3 seconds), so loaders set up in milliseconds keep working.

Height and weight answers

The visitor can answer the Height block in feet and inches or in centimetres, and the Weight block in pounds or kilograms. Whatever unit they pick, the answer is stored as one number in metric units, rounded to one decimal:
  • height in cm;
  • weight in kg.
So a visitor who enters 5’10” is stored as 177.8, and 180 lb as 81.6. The unit details are available as variables, where <id> is the block’s ID: The first Height block and the first Weight block with an answer can also be read as height and weight. Those are the names the default BMI formula uses, so this computed variable works whatever unit the visitor chose:
Put a block’s ID in double square brackets to print the visitor’s answer in any text, heading or option label:
[[goal]] prints the plain answer (for example lose). [[goal.value]], [[goal.answer]] and [[ responses.goal ]] keep working too. A visibility rule on the bare block ID compares that same plain answer.

Validation

The visitor cannot go on until the screen’s answers pass these checks. The message shows under the block, in the page’s language (English, Romanian or Portuguese). Fields marked required must be filled in, and an email field needs a valid address.

What visitors do not see

  • AI Generated Text block: personalized AI text is not generated on live pages yet, so the block is hidden from visitors. In a preview it shows a note in its place, never the prompt.
  • Blocks with template example values: hidden on the live quiz until you edit them. See Template example values.

If the quiz is missing or empty

A page set to show a quiz keeps its own HTML when the quiz cannot be shown: the quiz was deleted, it has no blocks, or it fails to load. Put fallback content in the page (for example a link to your offer) so visitors never land on a blank page.
